Being Infected

I really love this song because I think it's so relatable, when I paid attention to the lyrics, and I realized what she's talking about it really hit me. I feel like this song just speaks to me, like I know exactly what the lyrics mean. I know its stupid to say but, If their was a soundtrack of my life this would be the first song on it. This is probably my all time favorite song, it's right up there with 'all around me'. I don’t think I've ever heard another band that talks about stuff like this. The intense honesty they carry is one of the reasons why they are so great. It's just indescribably beautiful and if you read or listen to an interview, the band members are truly amazing people. I'm So Sick, is about all that messed up stuff in the world that we have to deal with. The environment that surrounds you influences you, it infects you, and if you grow up in a rough situation, it’s really easy to be a victim to that and end up a product of your environment. Identity is something that some people spend their whole life trying to figure out, and it can be hard. I can't say it any better that Lacey: "I'm So Sick is about how the world can sometimes be a sick and messed up place and how that influences us and tells us how we should live or who we should be. People do things just 'cause everyone else does and then they wonder why they feel empty all the time. Someone who has a firm stance in what they know to be true will empower empty followers to discover who they are as individuals with purposes and this creates leaders with voices of their own." "The cry in the song is to not be selfish and to be who you think you should be despite what you went through and in the video we're trying to get that across, just that crazy feeling of desperation, like you look at your self in the mirror and your like: 'ugh! I don't wanna be that!' " "We hope that there is a hope in us that people would hunger for." Lacey's also said that their music is something people can listen to and take their own meaning.
